I need to stop consuming content so much in my life. It's all these fun, conflicting and vibrant videos that grab my attention and speed things up so I'm not bored anymore. I realize I waste hours doing this, and that time would actually be better spent doing things for my family, reading, praying or even just doing nothing for a change.

A slow down spirituality is how we don't settle for a lukewarm faith. We actually have time to open our souls and talk honestly to God.

Literally cancelled a work appointment today in order to REST and have a SLOW paced day. Sometimes we push our daily lives so full of plans or work that it becomes a norm. Especially since it sometimes is needed to survive. But in Jeremiah 6:16 it says "Stand at the crossroad and look. Ask for ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find a rest for your souls."

you can't find rest and live slow if you don't take the time to let God fill you daily.

One day, I decided to participate in a Christian event far from my hometown as aid. I planned to get there as fast as possible and use as many shortcuts as possible. However, it was a rainy day and it took me longer to get there than I anticipated. I tried to keep God in mind, but I still relied way too much on the GPS apps on my phone. When I got closer, my phone's battery died and I couldn't rely on my phone amymore, so I finally decided to trust God's directions. Soon after, I made it and the rest of the day went fine.

I really like to think of the events of that day's morning as God's will. It was him letting me know that hurrying really isn't the way. It seems that I've truly been learning lately.

All I have to say is that God is amazing.

Yes I’m really working on slowing down and being present. My daughter will be off to college in August so right now it’s a lot on her and me but I know when she goes across country to college my life will definitely be slower. Working for the Boys and Girls Club as teen specialist I’m constantly on the go. However on my down time and days off it’s going to be nice to be more present with the Lord. I feel like I’m STEALING time right now to be present with the Lord, then I’m rushing off to the next thing. I’ve definitely been praying over this. Amen, Amen 🤍🙏🏾🧘🏽‍♀️

I need to slow down with spending time with God. I’ve been trying to wake up early and have 1 hour of prayer before work each morning, but I’ve been struggling to get out of bed. I’m going to set a smaller goal for myself and build my spiritual muscles. 20 minutes is better than nothing at all 👍🏼

No wonder life felt somewhat more painful, it's the idea of things doing fast!
A brother in Christ also asked me who would win a race: a turtle or rabbit! I thought it was the rabbit, but the truth is that the rabbit distracts itself easily, while the turtle has focus, tunnel vision! Even if it is slow, the individual knows how to better move!

so true! sometimes I feel i need to be constantly doing stuff but the joy in being able to just rest on God's green pastures is something I need to remind myself to keep doing. Be still and know He is God

Yesterday I had a nudge to slow down and relax. I Try to do 100 things in a day to keep my parents happy, and to try and keep God proud of me. I don't want to be lazy! but then I feel exhausted this was perfect for today. Chill relax and trust one day at a time.

what i really like about your ministries is the fact that you're truly set apart from the other christian content creators. to me it appears that you're doing things with the intention of actually serving people. to actually let them GET what God means in the bible. with most christian influencers they set us up with fear, condemnation or they flat out shame you. their ''encouragement'' is making you scared. and that is a big problem. i also love how you said in one of your video's that you distanced yourself from that influencer life and rededecated your faith in the Lord

I loved loving slow as a kid, but I sinned and my life became so busy that I couldn’t slow down with responsibilities piling up. I’ve been desiring to live slow again. Thanks to Jesus I can. I’m thankful Jesus doesn’t shame me into living a slow life. It’s been the devil all along trying to stop me from being me.
