I really like mini PCs actually. Sure, the processor can't be upgraded, but they're small enough to be mounted behind a monitor, great for offices and home PCs. And they can be gotten for less than $200 whilst still having good 12th-gen quad-core processors.

I haven't ever seen ANYBODY hate on mini PCs, if anything the whole opposite, specially the ones with AMD APUs instead of Intel ones

Mini PCs are great. You just need to have the right application. Obviously they're not great for a gaming juggernaut or a rendering monster, but for general productivity, media streaming and HTPC use, they do the job perfectly well, in a tiny package.

The concept of a mini pc is way better because why would you want a big pc but the preference just isn’t there for people with a budget

Mini PCs are great for home servers, I got a mini pc for $200 AUD less than you'd usually pay for the same hardware because of a discount. I run a Minecraft server on it.

The concept is cool but my last jumper laptop was garbage, had almost no repairability, terrible build quality and used mini hdmi & a strange charger, would not recommend buying. (Hopefully this will change)

I don't know why you would dislike mini PCs as a pc builder, it's great for home assistants, discord bots, Minecraft servers, etc.
