Sunset riders in 91 and Metal Slug in 96 made a huge difference in the genre. Super polished games with solid bosses and pace. Both can be satisfying even today

Desert Assault!!!, i have been looking for that game for ages!, saw it only once in an arcade in the 90s i have never been to before, and never returned, more than a decade later i looked for it on the net, but didn't see the game title on the cabinet (most likely a bootleg), so the only reference i had is what i saw and the mission accomplished voice at the end of a level, i didn't even get to play the game since i was just passing by at that time and the machine was in use.

When i saw your video title i thought, hey maybe the game is here...Thanks!
