1. Can there be knowledge that is independent of culture? Discuss with reference to mathematics and one other area of knowledge.

2. To what extent do you agree with the claim that “there’s a world of difference between truth and facts (Maya Angelou)? Answer with reference to two areas of knowledge.

3. Is there solid justification for regarding knowledge in the natural sciences more highly than knowledge in another area of knowledge? Discuss with reference to the natural sciences and one other area of knowledge.
Math – no there’s not.
Different disciplines – biology and chemistry – these gain knowledge in different ways!
Methods of gaining knowledge.
 
4. How do historians and human scientists give knowledge meaning though the telling of stories? Discuss with reference to history and the human sciences.

5. How can we distinguish between good and bad interpretations? Discuss with reference to the arts and one other area of knowledge.

Hey! I was thinking about this 3rd title... is "regard highly" upto one's interpretations?

I'm asking this because the first time I read this question, I thought this "regard highly" was supposed to mean if knowledge produced in natural science should be regarded highly than any other AOK because of its "usefulness" i.e. applications in real life.

But I see that you've defined "regard highly" as in whether knowledge in natural sciences should be regarded highly because its more objective than any other AOKs.


Have I understood the question wrong or is the question is really vague, hence is upto one's own interpretations?

If I were to base my essay on the understanding that this is asking about the "usefulness" of knowledge in the natural sciences, would it be considered as "changing" the essay title, hence be penalized or sth?
