From a local estate ,you are bidding on an awesome vintage JVC RC-550 JW Cassette recorder,5 broadband receiver/radio.This "Ghetto Blaster" is in high demand when brought up in ebay auctions! It is from the 1970's and has that "funky" look to it! The radio is in working condition. The yellow button lights up the dial station window when pressed, and the "peak" lights light up ,too! I took it upon myself to go over the entire Boombox, removing knobs, etc.,(3hours) to get this looking so very clean, no missing knobs! There are a couple of things that should be mentioned,(not impeding the working of the radio),and that is the back bottom corner has a 1" size piece of plastic missing,(pic.#10), and the "on/off " switch on the right side of the radio is not there. However the power cord works in the cord outlet on the radio and powers the Boombox just fine when plugged into the wall outlet.! It has a few dings here and there and a few rub marks. The battery department is clean ,no rust or corrosion and the antenna is intact and works! The cassette deck rewinds and fast forwards,(may need to clean tape head). I will sell on an "as is","no returns" in described working condition! Before packaging this weights nearly 15 Lbs. and will be packaged with care, insurance will be included!

I like the way you represented the video. And I appreciate it. I have two boombox videos in my house. I let my nephew watch my house. Cuz I went on vacation. So go see my son at the Air Force Base. When I got back. I found them from him that he threw a party in the house. And they stole my boombox radio. Both of them. I had the JVC radio from the the 1977 and 79. The gray ones that were all gray and light. They came in three different versions. I would like to know where did you get the radios from. But those are from my childhood. And I have over 200 cassettes of old school music. Because I see the ridiculous price . There selling them for. $500 to $700 to 1500 to and more. That's really crazy. I know this guy that had a couple of them. And he was going to sell it to me for $200 because that's how much it cost back then $150 to $200. But bad luck happen. He passed away. So I didn't get a chance to buy it off from. But if you got any help me. Where can I get it and buy it for a cheap price. I really appreciate it very much. Turns radio on. Turns volume ALL the way down. Puts tape in and presses play. Does NOT turn volume up. Assumes tape player doesn't work :(

I had one of these in the early 80's. it was my favorite radio.  It would eat through the d cell batteries quickly, if you cranked the bass and volume up.  Also you could listen to the cordless phones of the time on the lowest shortwave band, around 1.8 mhz.

I had this back in 1984 -85. My mom husband had it tide up on the back of his motorcycle driving on the fwy and the radio fell onto the fwy and broke in pieces. :-(
