My son just found out he matched with his first choice so he’ll be headed to UT Health San Antonio in June for residency! He’ll be an anesthesiologist! I’m so happy and proud of him! I have an added appreciation for all the hard work that men and women do to become doctors. It’s a tough road but so worth it if your heart’s into it. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 PS...Great video and your eye shadow looks so pretty on the beautiful color of your eyes. 😜

"Good morning! I'm Dr. (name redacted) and I'll be breathing for you today!" Words from my anesthesiologist prior to my 7th brain surgery. Most humbling words I'd ever heard. Just the way she said it struck me for some reason - I was gonna be depending on her to do the most basic thing and if she messed up, I'd die. It's crazy if you really think about it.

She is also a TV personality with lots of appearances fyi. I don't think she does much in terms of call to make up that salary but I agree...to make that much I'd have to be on 24-7 stroke call all year

There should be a limit on the call shifts people can take, not to restrict income, but because if they get woken and called in every single shift and they are doing multiple nights, every weekend etc. they are going to get exhausted and make mistakes.

In case anyone is wondering, the anesthesiologist in the video is Nina Radcliffe. The reason why her salary is so high is not because of her physician salary or investing, but because she regularly appears on TV as a medical expert doing health segments.
