Evolution Requirement: Walk 1000 Steps In "Let's GO" Mode

Do 3 Laps around Los Platos Town, and then level up your Pokemon to trigger the evolution. Make sure your Pokemon does not go back into its ball, as this will cause the steps to reset.

For anyone wondering, I feel like this works much better than the stand on top of a Pokecenter method. I spent like 10 minutes on top of the Pokecenter, having the Pokemon run around with no success. Wasted some candy trying to make sure too. Tried this method though and it worked instantly after the laps. Did all three of the 1000 step evolutions in a row with this. Thanks a lot!

This works much better than the other methods that I've read/watched. Thank you for also detailing some of the possible problems, specifically that ZR is the correct mode and that the 1000 steps must be completed all in one go. I spent way too much time trying to do this the wrong way. Good work!

My Pawmot definitely evolved without 1000 consecutive steps, it only saw action rounding up outbreak KO's and that's with L1 spamming it back into its ball

For whatever reason this did not work for me with my unnamed male Pawmo. I attempted the laps 3 times (the final time doing nearly 5 laps). However, walking around for a while in area zero with my named female Pawmo netted me an evolution after I saw music notes over her head.

Quick tip, if your left joy con has drift and makes you go forward, make your character crouch and it will give you a steady pace

Thank you so much, all I could find are the things about go on top of a pokecenter and I just wanted a simple area that I run around and don't have to worry about my positioning sure this might take longer but if it guarantees this is done than I'm happy.

I could have sworn it didn’t need to be done in one go and your Pokémon can go in its ball.
I definitely made my pawmo go in several times and it still evolved but I could be remembering wrong

After wasting close to 30 min on one of the 3 pokemon on top of the pokecenter. this was 100% faster took about 2ish minutes to do 3 laps. Over a month later thanks for the help!

i legit ran around a town doing like 10 laps and then stopped he fell asleep at my legs, i went to walk and he disappeared into my ball lol dammit

I was able to evolve my rellor to Rabsca by walking 1000 steps

Find a spot in the game where no Pokémon spawn, take a rubber band, stretch it to the left and right stick so they can point at each other. You’re welcome.

I was trying to do it legit by walking up and down area zero and it didn’t work. So now I’m gonna resort to other methods, I didn’t stray, it was all in one sitting and everything.
