Will the XM make it to the top of Pikes Peak? Tell us what you think happens next!

What an amazing machine...heaviest in its class! Longest 0-60 and highest probability of understeer. Kudos on the motorsports masterpiece BMW!

That boat doesn't belong on the hill. BMW has fallen so far thinking that the XM makes sense in any way.

Looks slightly better AFTER the crash.

Extra extra! The car most expected to understeer understeers into a tree!

Hey if anyone from BMW is reeding this.... If you think FAILING to race an SUV up a mountain will make me want to buy it, think again. It makes me question if you even care about your racing and performance cars like the M2

All this talk from BMW about sustainability and the environment and then they create a 3 ton monster vehicle which destroyed a tree

I just can’t understand why don’t we have dozens of races with such 3 ton wardrobes?!? Oh wait…

This isn't a car out of the factory....and even, you see that you have proven that this isn't a car to race 🙂

2, 7 ton SUV on Pikes Peak, what could possibly go wrong?

Was relieved to see he walked away from the wreckage unscathed. But haven't we learned something here about the laws of physics and perpetually adding weight to these electric vehicles? How about just going back to making lighter cars with traditional engines that can use cleaner fuels? Everyone's a winner.

Maybe dont hill climb a 6, 000lb luxury SUV... Maybe use an M3 or something that makes sense

For a vehicle corporation, BMW does make really good mini-movies, car docs, & even commercials.

That's why you don't mess with the laws of physics...

It’s so cool seeing this in documentary form! I’m friends with Matt’s son and I remember him talking about how absolutely scary it was knowing there was a crash but not knowing who it was and if they’re ok.
Also, the other girl who hugs Matt after the crash is a family friend! She’s my older cousin who went with them on the trip lol

Incredible production. The shop who built/fabricated the full roll cage should receive tons of credit. Incredible work from them - the cage clearly did it's job.

You can't make a racehorse with a heavy pig...

Hope the driver was unhurt. Crumpled shipping containers don't work as race cars. Please fire your current design team and start over. Your history shows you can make wonderful cars.
