This is a Traditional isiXhosa Easter Hymn and this piece particularly being arranged by Michael Barret and Ralf Schmitt. The song's literal meaning translates to You Took your own Son who lived amongst us, the Son of God was crucified and repeats with a sense of wailing for the Christian as s/he remembers the crucifixion.
This was performed on the evening when Yale Glee Club visited Kenyatta University and colaborated with us in their Kenya tour choral concert

Conductor @noahochomo8760 Noah Ochomo

It is joyful and pleasing to see a choir treating a precious song with the respect it deserves.
