This song is a lot for me. I used it to break out of a toxic relationship. They would yell a lot at me in private and threatened to kts if I got out. We had just had a huge argument and then made up, then I contemplated our friendship with them. We decided to stay friends. Later, I just felt so oppressed by their actions, I felt like an anvil was constantly on my chest. So silently, right next to them, I hummed this song. My friends picked up on it, and they didn't know about what was going on but they love this song. They sung along. Soon enough the whole hallway at school was singing it. I went silent and peered back at them. My "friend" looked away. Later they texted me. We ended our friendship. It went down messily, it wasn't pretty, and a lot of lies were told about me. I was sad, I felt alone, but all my friends were on my side. They left the school after being exposed by the principal by their doings. It got around the school so they homeschool now. They still use my curriculum though. I don't know if they will come back next year. I saw them pass by one day and started trembling. I don't know what I will do if they come back, but all my friends are here for me. I'm doing a lot better now. This was about 4-5 months ago. I feel much freedom. When I hear this song I get a bit sad, but also uplifted. Thank you.
