I think you caught on to the min-excavator very quickly Tyler, good job! See you next week.

It's a good idea to leave a mound on the ditch line for a few rains to allow for settling and smooth it out later.

You might want to put a 4x4 treated post right beside the water faucet and install a few straps affixing the water line to the post to give it some stability. A no freeze faucet would be good, not so much for freezing but for support, hate to bust a plastic water riser. Also the no freeze faucet has a bucket hanger on it too.

Really happy to see that y'all didn't get hammered with the storm that came out of the Gulf of Mexico just recently. My first adventure with an excavator was about 12 years ago but it was a much bigger excavator. John Deere 135c. It takes a little gettin use to a new piece of equipment but you'll get there. Learnin how to feather the controls or the (joy sticks) can be a bit tricky I will say. Ya done pretty dang good Tyler!

Joisas that ground with the rock in is like my yard. And I am in the land of Oz on the other side, mush in winter bends crowbars in summer,
Good job

Always Always use primer first and clear glue is stronger then the blue glue. That is primarily used on leaking lines. A compression coupler would be easier to install and give you a little flexibility. I have installed thousands of feet of water lines and learned a lot of this the hard way. Have fun and stay safe!

Did good for a beginner. Dig over the blade, more stable. Doze with one hand on lever, other on dozer controll. I’ve run every size hoe from minis to mass excavators for over 50 years. 30 inch frost line minimum in Southcentral Kansas, with metal freeze type hydrants.

Just a thought from my experience, might want to put a cut off on the barn side in case of a leak. You won’t have to cut the house water off.

Kodos to the camera lady. Good job. Hope the storm missed you. Later.

Great video, I would highly recommend the freeze proof faucet. They are well worth the effort for the rare times that a hard freeze comes around. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work 👍

Glad you don't have to worry about a "freeze " line.
