My interpretation of the beautiful “Ballade pour Adeline”. Composed by Paul de Senneville (1976) and made famous by Richard Clayderman. Performed here on the Yamaha XF8 workstation using Garritan’s meticulous sampling of the flagship Yamaha CFX concert grand piano.

Almost 40 years after it was first release, “Ballade pour Adeline” has proven to be a phenomenon in contemporary instrumental music, and it is quite likely one of the most frequently performed piano compositions of all time, closely following Beethoven’s “Für Elise”.

Ever since I heard it as a toddler, I was mesmerized by the simple beauty of this short unadorned piece. And it was because of “Ballade pour Adeline” that I taught myself to play the piano in my teenage years. Learning this piece was one of the most memorable events in my personal life. Today, I decided to finally record this piece from memory. I hope you enjoy it.
