What is troubling is that this broke weeks ago. But why didn't the DOJ/FBI know about it at the that time? And why is Zoom even operating in the US when we have Skype which is an American company able to do the same mass tele communication? And why are dissident groups even bothering to use Zoom in the first place?

I remember a few years ago, around the time something happened that caused notable tension between China and Australia, hearing a press release from China (or law in China changing) stating that Chinese government would apply pressure abroad (which sounded highly illegal to me in terms of foreign relations and diplomacy) to it's citizens abroad speaking ill of the country in various forms. Guess we're seeing that in action now. I suppose we can all sit, wait, and watch to see how the silk road project goes.
