Carl Weathers was a natural when it came to convincing the audience that he was a pro boxer in the movie. Sly was also good at making it look like he was eating all those punches . The way Rocky's head snapped back and the way he fell to the canvas.

Amazing how intelligent and articulate he is in an interview. He really sells that street level vocabulary and uneducated persona of Rocky so well when the camera rolls. A truly talented actor that is way more than just action roles. His dramatic acting is up there with the best of them, IMO

Rocky 1-2 are two of the greatest films ever and obviously one of the best characters ever written, just beautiful and relatable and inspiring, I’ll watch them over and over forever

He and Carl Weathers were amazing in those roles, Talia Shire too. Nothing like them around today imo. This was a lightning getting caught in a bottle cast and story imo. RIP Mr Weathers.

The way he talks reminds of Steve Jobs, just as good at articulating his thoughts passionly and being able to sell it. I have to wounder, if this type of comunication was a feature of that era's education that today generations don't have it anymore because of spending most of time with their heads in smartphone...
