The Crow Reboot Flopped... And was always going to!

Not sure who asked for a reboot, but we got it... and it was not great.. it bombed at the cinema as it was always destined to... #SciTrek #thecrow

Not surprisingly. Its hard to beat the original, its nearly a perfect movie in its genre.
Its like if they try to remake The Bodyguard, not going to work out.

Imo, It's a slap across the face in terms of Lee's memory. It's a cult classic. Tbh, there was never a "good" reason to remake it.

It's worse than you think, they took a graphic Crow story "wild Justice" with Michael Corby as the crow Avatar and slapped Eric Draven's and Shelley's name on he characters.
It's not a remake it's a mishmash.
The should have made this as the graphic novel they took it from, a stand alone Crow story of " wild Justice " .

The crow remake was gonna be a very difficult thing for people to get into because first of all Brandon Lee was gonna be there and a lot of people weren’t going to go see it anyway so it should’ve just stayed

I agree completely. I feel the same way about music, when a song is done right the first time, stop covering it. New things aren't bad. A bad cover, or a bad remake is so much worse than a mediocre new thing.

The Crow never needed a remake, just make another crow story, none of them should be remade, The Crow franchise based on the Crow not the person the Crow helps, this is why I liked or enjoyed all the previous films, that did not try to replace Eric Draven was the reason they worked (even the badly made ones)
this new crow should not have been a remake of the original movie. the new Crow should have been an additional story to the others, I love Skarsgaard, but this movie was not a good production. change the name of the two leads and it might have been accepted better, but I doubt it would have made the money they think it was going to.

Shouldn't have been made. It kind of disrespects Brandon because he died filming it. There was no simply no need for it. Also there was no need for the original sequels either.

*_Showdown in Little Tokyo_* is awesome. Actually, I enjoyed all of Brandon Lee's films. His one and only Hong Kong film, *_Legacy of Rage, _* is quite good. He even faced off with Bolo Yeung in that film, just like his father had done.

The execs didn't look at the Crow sequels. They performed poorly. What would another Crow movie do? Like you, Jay, I abhor reboots in general.

I have no desire to see the remake. The premise is awesome and should be explored more but not as a remake. However "Critics" wouldn't know a good movie if it beat them to death with a nerf bat so watch it and form your own opinion.

It should never had been made in first place, If you going to make a sequel expand on the first movie created a new character give the crow a back story I mean how crow bring people back and when it started if crow choose Eric Draven it definitely can choose some else out respect to Brandon lee and first movie did should have created a new character

All Highlander movies were awesome though the first one was the best. I did not like the spinoff tv series that replaced Connor though.

I enjoyed the OG Crow back in the day, I gave the sequels a hard miss and prob will this one.

Kurgan = Clancy Brown, vis Buckaroo Banzai, Shawshank Redemption, & John Wick 4 -- and (shocker) tons of voice roles: Lex Luthor, Mr Krabs, several Gargoyles, etc.

Who knows maybe it's going to be like Blade. It was bashed by hardcore SciFi fan and the honest fan made it the movie that saved Marvel. Now Highlanders reboot common! Be honest you don't like the crow or Brandon. Here we are, we are the masters of the universe...lol
