My father had two of these with the exact same colors as this one. The first one he tore up one Friday night just after he dropped my mom, brother and I off at the supermarket. He immediately bought a second one when he was released from the hospital and when I turned sixteen was lucky enough to drive that beauty. As you panned through the interior, especially the back seat, my childhood flashed before me. I could literally feel the black pile carpet on my feet! Even the sound from lifting the trunk brought chills. I still remember the hiss of the headlight panels as they went up or down. That GTO was my father’s pride and joy and still remember his smile and satisfaction when he ‘got down on it’.

Covid-19 took my father a year ago. He lived his life, like that GTO up until the end…

Absolutely gorgeous. That color is not one you usually see on this model year, works so well though

That Muncie three speed gives that car a bunch of extra value. That thing was as bulletproof as bullet proof gets it was a cast-iron transmission. I know I had one with the 400 HO. Well it was 400 HO for a wow short wow and I replaced it with a 455 HO. It was a beast.

I had a 69 GTO convertible and it's still the best car I ever had. Rough but restorable, it was so fun to drive.

Memories: My first new car was a '69 LeMans, dark blue with white vinyl top. It was beautiful but keeping it clean was a nightmare.

I just love my ATG Pontiac GTOc over the basic model.
"c" stands for convertible.

GM are a bunch of idiots for not remaking this type of car, not a modern version but this design. Look how long Ford has run with the Mustang. Look at all the Chargers and Challengers on the road and they don't look anything like the original. I think there's a market for new "classic" cars. Does anyone agree?

The "extra" braces, on the 10 bolt, are "Hop Stop" bars, and are great for dragging, and traction. They really work on those suspensions. And did you say it has "3.92"(?) gear? A stroked 400, stick shift, 3.90 gear, and hop stop bars, (and the boxed lower control arms), means some-one was serious about drag racing this thing. Wonder at what point the P/O swapped out the mufflers, and added A/C? Be nice to know what else was done to the motor. I think the exhaust manifolds are ram air, which also ups it. Like the color combo, and the fact it doesn't have judge stickers and baloney slicer. I'ld dump the AC tho. I'm sure it didn't sit long on your lot. Hope you got its just reward. Nice.
