for those who don't understand, that machine kinda drill holes into the soil (aeration) a stuff you do on golf course to make the grass grow better.
but as the machine does that it pulls out soil which would latter need to be cleared off the top of the grass. so this guy's put tarp beneath/behind the machine to collect the soil

Why are they collecting the plugs? The plugs will dissolve back into the soil eventually.

they also make an attachment for the procore that pulls all the plugs to the edge of the green and you can dump them in a pile

Normally you leave the plugs that break down but in this case, they are collected as to not disrupt ball rolling

Beautiful. Might have to clue my old country course(green acres in dexter, GA)onto this here! They just did this last month. They didn't do a great job and scarred up the greens, aside from the holes it has to put in. They're finally getting better. Now though, it's Saturday and I would normally go play, but our actual temperature, not counting "feels like temp, is supposed to be 100° today. And the humidity is awful.

I worked at a golf course one summer and can say that this definitely beats getting pulled in a trailer behind a tractor, and definitely beats getting dumped out of said trailer

Wow that's smart. The course I worked at had a machine specifically designed to pick up plugs so it was still easy.

We used a dragger on a gator to break up the plugs then a pull behind blower to get it off the tees or greens so they’re actually doing more physical work than needed. Guess just depends on the golf course equipment availability lol

Super high IQ. I've had worked long hour days from 6am to 4pm shoveling those plugs, and there was 5 or 6 of us doing it. Imagine all the money the owner could've saved if he didn't have to pay 6 laborers and the specialist.

I know it’s not the case here but on ur lawn if you get it aerated it’s good to rake the plugs into the lawn breaking them up instead of removing them as they provide nutrients to ur lawn and help the grass grow tho aeration is good it’s more important to seed well and seed the right type of grass for you❤
