Good video, what about a UV spray coat with a dye print? ✌️

Twenty years ago, I was printing with an Epson printer with pigment inks. I had frequent issues with clogged nozzles. At the time, it thought that this was common with all pigment inks if printing was not done fairly regularly. Has the technology changed to reduce or eliminate this?

Hello, i just bought an epson 8550 to print out art prints to sell, but now i am concerned I won't be able to sell them because of the dye based ink? Can you use pigment ink it the et 8550? Do you have a recommendation for ink? Thank you.

Thanks for that useful and informative video. I came across a YouTuber a while ago who recommended putting a sealer coat (such as Plasticote} on prints to help reduce fading. Can you say if this is true or false?

I have seen many uploads of photographers talking about the Canon or Epson printers, pigment and dye inks, but not much about HP printers. Is there a reason for this?
I bought and use a second hand HP Designjet Z5200PS 42" with 8 Pigment 300ml or 130ml inks, I only use HP satin roll photo papers and HP VIVERA inks. I work with High Resolution 61mb camara as I only make very large prints. I can't fault the results I get from this old printer that I do keep well serviced. I am just wondering how others get on with HP products for their works, as I have never compared my work on any other make of printer other than Hewlett Packard.

Where can I buy the Pigment inks for the Epson EcoTank 8550 printer?

Please also note that dye inks are recyclable (provided printed on uncoated paper, if in doubt just ask the retailer) whereas pigment inks aren’t recyclable at all.

Can I start up with pigment ink in an Epson ET-8550 without experiencing problems that would not occur with dye ink?
And another question - What is the longest period such a printer can be inactive before problems occur? In other words - how busy must I be to keep it up running flawlessly?

fyi, nothing in this video is in focus or was uploaded at very low resolution and upscaled to 1080. (not that it ended up mattering since there wasn't any demo involved)

If you buy a pignet ink printer, be warned, the color reproduction is underwhelming to say the least. Sure they may last 100 odd years but they'll never be what you had in your head? B&W is a different thing, this they are good at.
