I appreciate virtue saw that the spire 4 wasn't staying closed in heavy use so they switched to a more secure lock to the back. Virtue does a good job listening and implementing feedback . It's a bummer however they did the virtue ace too soon. If it was on the TM40 frame they would have been given more praise

I actually own two (wanted a color swap before they offered them). They are great but have one huge issue. You can't tell the light is on in the back in the Florida sun. I have been caught out several times thinking the hopper was on and it wasn't. Sure you can hear it but if the hopper was full and the neck was full, it doesn't make any noise. The previous gen hoppers had the side lights so you KNEW it was on. This is a huge problem that needs to be addressed. It needs a brighter light! I hope they address this asap. Functionality it works great as always.

I can tell Rory is a happy man being able to showcase “new” inventory

I saw no advantages of a III or IV over an ir2 and actually disliked them not having eyes in the feedneck. I've been using a IV because I found a used one with a 280 shell. Got an insane deal on a V that I could not pass up. Put my IV 280 top shell on it as well as my N-Charge and expect it will work as well as any of my other Spire loaders.

Still would say grabbing a IR2 makes more sense. I dont see $100+ more in value for this over a IR2 . Its a spire so it will be solid so if you got the money to burn go for it but if ya wanna save grab a IR2 its just as good .

I’ll stay with my IR2… never had a jam or broken paint using it and I’ve had mine for 3 years. The 5 looks like it’s an IR2 with a couple of upgrades and too me it just doesn’t seem worth the extra price tag.

How does it not have a anti jam button?? Spire IV >>> Spire V

First off this hopper definitely has a problem at 15BPS. It cant even hit 15BPS even in short bursts. I dont understand why a $250 hopper in 2024 cant do at least 20BPS. Id like to have consistent feeding in semi.

Also this is a downgrade from the Spire 3 and 4. Those had the antijam button, warning lights, and the 280 shell.
