The truck in this episode was bought new for my family’s company, Arkansas Machine Specialty and Truck Repair Company in 1947. It served the Hope, Arkansas company until it was sold in the 1970’s. Imagine my surprise to see the truck being rescued in East Texas. I enjoyed driving that truck in the 1960’s and 1970’s. When I saw the Dodge tail gate with the Arkansas tag it instantly grabbed my attention!

Guys, I have watched a lot of your rescues and this one seems to be really special. Sometimes when you do something great like this, the owner will realize just how nice this old truck is and they will never part with it. Sometimes they will discover just what a fine God loving family you all are and will enjoy watching you all bring this old girl back to life.

No matter what happens, I hope that someone will bring her back to life. God Bless your entire family and please, keep on doing what you do.

It never ceases to amaze me what some folks will give away just to get you guys to come trim their trees, and bush hog their overgrown properties.

As someone who lives in the UK these old American trucks are a delight to my eyes. By trade I am a welder fabricator and my dream is to restore and own one of these old trucks.
Good video and have a good day.

Finding these vintage trucks buried is like finding raw treasure. I am so glad there are those who find these. A work of love to restore. Amazon car hop trays.

My buddy had a 1949 International PU and I am here to tell you that is a tank. The body is heavy sheet metal. The cab is huge. You double clutch, as I remember. Huge split rim tires. The more weight you have in the box the better it drives...It is a great truck and a fun drive.

These old Internationals are great looking truck. My neighbor bought a 47 flatbed International a few years back. My dad, who was in his 90's said " top speed of those old trucks, when new was 45mph, down hill with a strong tail wind pushing." 😝
