Why I joined the French Foreign Legion

Thomas Gast joined the French Foreign Legion in 1985. He engaged the mysterious, romantic and deadly Légion étrangère in Strasbourg, the capital and largest city of the Grand Est region of France. When he went through the old wooden front door to enter in the ´Poste d’Information de la Légion Étrangère` (the Foreign Legions information- and recruiting desk) he did not know that he should stay for such a long time as 17 Years. His message to you? Everybody can be strong and courageous. Everybody can do miraculous things if he only wants to do them, things men can be proud of!

@Thomas Gast hello! im from southeast asia im planning to enlist in the legion around next year, i just want to know the best dates to go there when the climate is at its warmest? i dont think i could accomplish the selection phase/basic training if it is snowing.

I try to join a few weeks ago and I couldnt do 7 pull ups and did 5 and they told me to come back in a month. So I flew back to the states and am going back in September. How can i increase pull up numbers?
