Показать описание
Today we are going on to discover 'Stragusto' Street Food Festival. This is an annual festival that is taking place in the ancient fish market in Trapani, Sicily, Italy.
This festival brings the best Sicilian street food to the Trapani region of Italy.
We will discover 'porchetta' sandwich, which is an Italian boneless pork roast wrapped in fat and skin. We will also check out the famous spleen sandwich of Palermo which is filled with boiled cow organs covered with Trapani pesto sauce. Another Sicilian speciality is a delicious dish made with 'busiate' pasta. Traditionally from Trapani in Western Sicily, this pasta is actually not often eaten in other parts of Italy. This spiral shape is relatively unknown in other countries.
Then, the Sicilian-style couscous with seafood is also very popular brought by the Arabs during the occupation of Sicily more than thousand years ago.
We also check the sandwich with 'porchetta di suino nero dei nebrodi', a black pig baked in a wood oven with herbs.
We will also discover many various other specialities such as Sicilian pizza 'sfincione', 'arancini' or 'granita' which is a frozen fruit dessert.
In this video, you will do a street food tour through the festival discovering Italian specialities of the region of Trapani, Sicily.
