In this video we take a look at Boston's trolley buses, locally known as "trackless trolleys", during the PM rush hour. The trackless trolleys serve routes 71, 73, and 77A, which serve the communities of Cambridge and Watertown. Route 77A is a short turn of route 77, which uses standard diesel buses, and runs in passenger service between Harvard and the North Cambridge carhouse. It only runs when a bus operator's run begins and ends. Near the end of the video is an exclusive look at one of the trolley buses being washed at the end of its shift for the day.

March 11th 2022 is the last weekday in which the MBTA's trackless trolleys will run in revenue service. All of the current Neoplan AN440LF-ETB fleet will be retired due to a road construction project in the communities of Cambridge and Watertown, which requires the trolley wire power to be shut off. As a result, the MBTA is taking advantage of this to convert the North Cambridge carhouse to a battery electric bus garage within the next two years.

Hey thanks for showing this brings back memories. I have seen the Neoplans ETBs operate on 72 and 75 until 2017.
