Calvinism hindered my Christian walk unknowingly for man years. It’s human philosophy applied to the Bible. It’s dangerous. Once I understood the real Grace of God I was liberated. Don’t be confused with the Calvinists definition “Grace “. It’s another Gospel

I have always used that as an argument, yet the Calvinist just brush it aside..

The simpler solution is to ask: "Can God create/enable genuine freewill?"

A. If "yes", then why deny God of doing so...?
B. If "no", then your "god" isn't fully sovereign...

^^^End of the debate!

Was my favorite thing you said in the previous video, so glad you posted a clip of it again. Thanks Kevin!

This is a good point which I caught in your video yesterday and I'm glad you highlighted it again here. It's like I've said before when discussing this with others, if a person breaks the law in a kingdom...does that make the king any less of a king? No. Must the king meticulously control everyone in his kingdom to remain sovereign? No. All this sovereignty stuff they talk about are things they recycle from Piper and the like. They have no idea what it means, they have perverted it in my mind and it is a distraction as you say to the real issues.

I want to understand what you’re saying, sir.

In other words:

Calvanists have a very low view of God in that He cannot be in control IF people have the freedom to make choices.

Is that accurate?

Thank you for all of your ministry, brother!

Ex Calvinist here. Just had a thought pop in my head. Maybe the devil is behind calvinism to a degree? I mean, I've been in it for 26 years. I went from being overjoyed to stagnant about sharing the gospel. (My church ... Which I'm leaving this week... is completely stagnant. Dead it feels!) Why bother witnessing if the predestined are essentially saved already and they just don't know it? And the ones predestined are going to hell and there's nothing you can do about it. Thank the Lord for waking us up! We feel live!! Excited! Much thanks to this channel! You've been such a blessing!

a Calvinist laughed at me when I mentioned your channel. They kept trying to point out we do not have free will and kept pointing at Roman's 9. I know you have a video on that but they laugh at your channel. I tried explaining in my own word. For me, the fact that there is no darkness in God proves we have free will.

"SOVEREIGN, n. suv'eran.
1. A supreme lord or ruler; one who possesses the highest authority without control. Some earthly princes, kings and emperors are sovereigns in their dominions.
2. A supreme magistrate; a king."

Kevin proves to us once again that they don't teach logic in schools anymore.

*sigh*

Kevin, your argument here is on par with saying that an omnipotent God really and truly can make a rock so big He can't lift it.

Your problem is your definition, of course. Hopefully Webster can set you straight. Hopefully.

(By the way, he was a Calvinist)

God is actually not sovereign. It is written ‘therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder’. So God can put 2 people together yet he cannot demonstrate enough sovereignty to keep them from breaking apart. The question is, why did he bring them together in the first place if he knew they would separate? Isn’t God demonstrating that he is in fact not sovereign, by defying his own will? And if we truly have free will, what business does God have in the act of matchmaking? I’m sure anyone could agree that it wouldn’t be free will if God had made the choice somehow.

When a Calvinist says God is sovereign, what do they mean by that?

Haven't watched this yet but very excited since this strawman is what even my sister who isn't a Calvinist and doesn't know what it even is just has to say to me the words "well I know you don't think God is Sovereign " just so I will go crazy after spending so many hours telling her why I am not at church anymore in my town.... bless her heart she likes to watch me look like a crazy person

Kevin, what do you make of Leighton Flowers argument about sovereignty: Sovereignty is not an eternal attribute of God, because the very definition of sovereignty is to be sovereign over something created. So, because God existed before He created everything, Sovereignty is not a necessary eternal attribute.
