This is part of a Xamarin course that I created to turn you into a rockstar developer! Find out more here:

This tutorial takes you through the simple steps of creating your very first Android app in Xamarin. It assumes you know very little about object oriented programming (C#).

If this has helped you then please thumbs up it.

The resources screen is there, but the main in layout is not, and it´s not in the .cs file either... Seems like this tutorial, is outdated.

When I tried open the Main.axml the message below appears:
"The installed Android SDK is too old. Version 24.3 or newer is required. Please update to latest version."
But my version is the latest!!!
What can I do?

I'm really struggeling what project to open to create mobile apps.

Because I can choose in Visual studio for creating an android app, creating an IOS app and crossplatform app. So what would be the difference in those 3? Because if I select "android app" it will automatically use xamarin, but isn't xamarin for cross-platform apps?

I hope you guys can help me out with this one !

Great tutorial. If I wanted the button to go back to grey and then loop round the colors on each click what would I type in the code to do that?
