Love your video's Max! could you do a night time busy street sort of comparison? I'd love to see what the 800 iso for both looks like. Maybe DNG samples? Keep up the great work!

Did you wipe the lenses of both phones clean before the test? V10 looks a little smudgy. Also it's not the ISO that helps at dark, but longer exposure times. Don't know about V10, but on my DSLR with stabilizer I can get sharp handheld photos even with 1/2 sec exposure time with wide angle lens.

nice review, can you make a low light test or comparison for xperia z5?

I see a major flaw with this test and it is seems to be the light source, for some reason on the v10 you can really notice a glare on the whole left side of the screen as if the light source came from that direction, it is non existent on the note 5 because the note 5 is facing kind of away from the light source?

longer exposure with lower iso on lg v10 and the photos are less noisy with lots of detail.

Just a quick correction. Manual video controls are only available on the LG V10. You stated Pro mode worked in photo and video for the Note 5.

How about moving objects indoors like kids, pets, party shots even? Can you suggest some phones that are good in those situations?

Honestly I wouldn't care much about the noise of the photo/video at night, as long as the phone can actually handle some night shots with minimum light. Phones in previous years just offered a pitch black screen if it has not enough available light. Seeing that change is actually amazing.

Can you make a video of how to use manual mode on the note 5? showing the best way to adjust the settings when taking pictures/videos in low and high light.

Great video. Unfortunately I just found out about all the noise in Auto in a low light situation and I was a bit disappointed actually (I'm talking about the LGV10).  Went to a metal concert over the weekend (AMON AMARTH!!!) and since I can't bring in a DSLR, I always bring my phone. I tend to get decent shots. This was my first time using the LGV10 in such an environment and I was rather surprised at the amount of noise in some of my pictures. Tried taking a shot of the crowd with some house lights on. Normally such a picture in my phone would be probably a little darker than desired. The shot I got from the LGV10 was lit ok, but the amount of noise was insane! Auto just skyrocketed that ISO. :-/

Do you even know what you are doing with the phones camera when setting ISO and Shutter speed? because at minute 3:10 you clearly seem like you don't have a clue how a sensor works... 1/60s ? really? in that light? not even a Full Frame camera would give usable photos...
The idea of the video is correct, no issue there, but next time use the histogram or know what shutter speed you should be using with that light. That that of low light Shutter Speed Vs ISO could be used to compare sensors and aperture lenses.

Sire, The LG is facing the light source resulting into glare. Informative tho :) Will go for the V10 due to expandable storage.

What about low light (not extreme) 4k video, both phones in manual @ 400 ISO? Which one has less noise and more detail?
Also, how would you compare these phones video quality to the GoPro 4 Black?
