Been using this technique with things like leaves and plants. Then I instance the plants and can have tons of wind swept plants with very little performance cost. Super great illusion

I have a question though, in greater picture of things.

How would it do compared to simulated clothings for animations for walking or interacting?
For example, the character walks slowly or normally, but you want to capture the wind.
This version shown here are perfect if standing still, but would it work in a scenario where simulations where not overly needed, or will simulation always be the best option for this?

Thank you for this little clever trick shown here.
