In this video, we see how well the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC handles our favorite emulators on android, Spoiler alert I can run everything at full speed! I picked up the Moto Edge X30 which just happen to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and this thing is fast! PS2 using AetherSX2, PSP using PPSSPP at 10 X! Citra for android, Gamecube, and Wii using dolphin this new CPU can run it all!

I love the optimism about other phones coming out with this chip with better cooling. From what I've read the chip itself is an absolute furnace. I do hope he's right though, I'd love to see a phone get the heat under control without ridiculous throttling.

I really want to see what the switch emulators are like on this chip. Unsure it should be supported though, I know there was some weird stuff around it. Aethersx2 is amazing on this new chip. Fingers crossed samsung releases the sd8 gen 1 on the s22 ultra here in the uk- if this performance is achieved, I will be happy all round

The edge x30 is known to have incredible throtthling and heating issues, see reviews. It starts antutu at 950K, and if you run it again, it drops in the range of a 888. So, while the performances are impressive here, we could expect even BETTER performances from this chip with a phone that is less rushed

Damn, thought my RoG 5S Pro was going to hold the emulator crown for 2022. Was I ever wrong! This is pretty amazing to see the performance advance as fast as this phone has demonstrated. If this phone retains a decent resale value, I maybe upgrading.

Wow the Performance of Dolphin at 1080p is amazing. Easily wipes the floor with my Intel Celeron SoC computer

It would be great if you did comparison between snapdragon 888 phones. Yeah it is great but without comparing with previous phones we still have no idea how much improved comparing the last gen.

That would be the perfect thing for upgrade most RPI based DIY arcade machines
