Thank you for not waiting until after he passes to acknowledge his impact on the world

It’s nice to see a legendary player whose on field accomplishments aren’t what made him a true legend. Thanks Five.

My heart skipped a beat thinking he had passed away. Thank God is just a celebration of his GOATed life.

Page is arguably the greatest and most influential defensive tackle to ever play the game of football.

Yet his off-the-field accomplishments are what he prides himself most on, and for good reason. He was an agent of change for the better, and believed in justice strongly. He still collects Jim Crow memorabilia in his home while most of his football regalia is in storage.

He's not great just because he's a Hall of Fame football player, he's great because he is what everyone should strive to be, their own man.

While Page never won a Super Bowl, he did not go ringless in his NFL career. He won an NFL championship in 1969 before the merger

I surveyed the land and laid out the house on the property Alan bought in Florida about 20 years ago. Got to meet the fella while doing the job, and all I can say is he's got an aura about him that is undeniable. You can feel the strength of character radiating from him. He has that Morgan Freeman energy, but packed into a larger, more powerful frame. Like, he could totally still manhandle you, but is simultaneously the same guy who would stand between you and hell itself. It was humbling and an honor to shake the hand of such a man.

I remember your recent video about dude saying he deserved his own entire video and you weren't lying I'm so glad you made it a reality

Not the first time a FivePoints video got me choked up. Alan Page is one of my heroes, been that way since I was a kid.

Also, if anyone likes this, go find Jon Bois' video series on the history of the Vikings. Some of Page's activism gets a deeper dive in that series. Plus, you know, it's Jon Bois.

As a Vikings' fan, Alan Page is the man. Only other defensive player besides Lawrence Taylor to win MVP.

All the purple people eaters had full lives outside football. Bud Grant encouraged players to be well rounded individuals. Carl Eller is a ceramic artist and kicker Fred Cox a dentist and is the inventor of the nerf football.

Alan Page is one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, yet that is a footnote in his life. Incredible human being, and of course, ND alum! ☘️☘️☘️

Thank you for spotlighting Alan Page. He has had such an interesting life off the field and an amazing career on the field. He should be talked about in the same vein as Deacon Jones, Mean Joe Greene, Reggie White, and Aaron Darnold.

Releasing Page was the tipping point for Bud Grant. Great teams before, not so much after.

I very rarely comment on videos. I really enjoyed this video. There are so many negative stories that people make about athletes. Of course these people do stupid crap and they certainly deserve to be called out their antics. However, it was very enjoyable to watch such a positive story about a truly great individual

Humble guy- if you ask him about his football accomplishments, he'll refer you to the ESPN documentary.
