Compact Tractor Pallet Forks Tips

Check out these compact tractor pallet fork tips that I use to make lining up and lifting palletized items easy. Over the years I've learned the hard way that a tractor doesn't really "bump" into things without damage. Just have a look at the pile of broken pallets that routinely make their way to my burn pile because of little "bumps" with my tractor pallet forks. With those hard lessons I've learned a few tips that have helped me avoid the dreaded sound of "snap, crackle, pop" when lifting with my tractor. The float feature is a great feature that comes on most tractor loaders and today I show you how I make good use of it to make up for any lack of skill I may have. Although I'm no slouch, it is tough stuff using pallet forks on the front a tractor when the forks are about 8 feet out in front of you and likely hidden from full view. This ain't no forklift or skid steer, that's for sure. Well hope everyone is doing good out there and is healthy. Thanks for watching folks. Here we go!

Great tip. I have forks on my subcompact but not on the compact and that's gonna soon change so this tip will come in handy. Thanks and enjoyed a full-watch. Have a fine Friday afternoon and upcoming weekend. 👍🏽

I wish I had been smart enough when I was young to buy forks for my tractor. So much effort saved!

Nice, I'm thinking of getting a compact tractor next year as I send and receive quite a few things on pallets and have rough ground so I don't have a good way of moving them around at the moment.

Thanks for the tip . I've driven forklift tractors all my life . Love it . I've seen guys smash into pallets many times yet it's easy to see the forks  . Then you have the guys driving in too far and hitting the wall behind a skid because they had very long forks and didn't adjust for fork length . LOL . One thing I've learned it's a lot harder to drive a tractor with forks than a fork lift . You just gotta take it slow .

Good tip, I do the same on my skidsteer, only it has a self leveling mode, and it’s sure handy when moving stuff on pallets, especially when raising the load it’s always level.

Sandy, I'm curious about the small screen sitting on your dash . . . what is it? Is it used to give you a better view of the front of your tractor? Details, please. FredSG

When I first bought my woodlot years ago I wanted to clean up some areas so friends and family could come out camping. I strapped an ibc tote to the forks on the front of my tractor and used it as a safety cage, with my Dad behind the wheel and me in the cage with good loppers we limbed up a few hundred trees in a solid two days of work. Fiskars power gear loppers were the ticket for this job, but I had seriously sore arms after that one.

Hi Bob here, also from ON, thanks for fork tips. I’m sourcing out a set of forks for my 3540 cab model, wondering the length of your forks?
