Jun Rao is a co-founder of Confluent and was a senior staff engineer at LinkedIn where he led the development of Kafka. Before LinkedIn, Jun was a researcher at IBM's Almaden research data center, where he conducted research on database and distributed systems. Jun Rao is the PMC chair of Apache Kafka and a committer of Apache Cassandra.

Chunyan Wang - leads the big data & analytics platform org at Pinterest, where he and his team are responsible for the company's data infrastructure and analytical tooling solutions at exabyte scale. Chunyan and his team have open sourced various projects in the data space, including querybook, orion, secor and memq.
