I put those same multi colored strings on my lyre harp, taking the steel ones off...I had to do some mods to the little harp to accommodate nylon gut strings...they are easier to deal with, but the sound is not really any better...I am therefore going to invest in a more expensive, hand-built marini-made lyre harp in the future....

Harps and lyres are supposed to ace a different sound. The metal strings on the lyre is the beautiful sound it is known for. Harp is just a different sound.

Where did you get those synthetic color coded strings from? I would like to put them on my lyre harp.

I think they come from Pakastan Mid East Instruments Inc..They are mass produced and cheap. Good to learn on but there are much better ones around..I bought a 22 string Heather folk harp from them once but it sounded like a banjo lol

I've just seen the exact same model in Amazon for less than half that price.

What clients say in the comments is that the strings are shit and most of them had to buy new ones.

I bought a different model for 64$ in Amazon too, it is longer and it has 10 nylon strings. The sound is much better and the strings don't give those problems.

I guess metal strings are always difficult. Nylon is more comfortable. Both nice sounds.
