How to Assign a GPU to your Game or an App on Windows 10?
Step 1: Open 'Settings' app, and then click on 'System.'
Step 2: Under 'Display' scroll down at the very bottom, and then click on 'Graphics Settings.'
Step 3: If you click on dropdown under 'Choose an app to set preference.' you have two options like 'Classic app' and 'Universal app.' Choose the option that you want.
Note: Classic apps are apps with .exe extension, and Universal apps are apps that are compatible with Desktop as well as Mobile.
Step 4: If you select 'Classic app,' then click on browse button and then select the exe file of an app that you want to add, After that, click on 'Add' button. Now, click on 'Options.' After that, you have to set Graphics preference 'System default,' 'Power Saving,' or 'High performance' by clicking on it. After that, click on 'Save' button.
i) System Default means based on situations, you system will
decide which graphics card to use like your integrated or dedicated one.
ii) Power Saving means, it will use your integrated graphics card.
iii) High performance means it will use your dedicated graphics card.
Step 5: Also, you can select 'universal app' option, and can select an app, and also set Graphics preference 'System default,' 'Power Saving,' or 'High performance' by clicking on it. After that, click on 'Save' button.
It's done.
