How To ANIMATE Objects Along A PATH In Davinci Resolve

Today I'm going to show you how to animate an object along a path in Davinci Resolve

To begin – click on the fusion tab then go over and click on the paint icon
At the top OF THE SCREEN– select polyline stroke then go over to your preview window and click on the screen to make your points

To make a curved line – simply click on one of the corner joints and click and drag the squares to manipulate your line into a curved one

From the start of your timeline - expand stroke controls and beside write on change the value of end to .001 then click this keyframe button

Move your timeline slider to the end of your clip and change start to .999 and end to 1.0

Now change the spacing to 0 AND CLICK ON MERGE– then go up and expand brush controls and click on image

Davinci has a bunch of built in clips you can use but to use your own image – click on clip then go to browse and find the clip that you want to use on your computer

Had the flickering issue, but fixed it by slightly upping the end number on the first frame, and slightly lowering the start number on the end frame
It did leave a duplicate version of the object trailing at the start and end, but that's easy to work around
Adding the fusion effect also seems to have made the background layer smaller, (identical to zooming it from 0.97, the size it was, to 0.95), and I don't know why, but that's also easy to work around

Thanks, do you know how to make the image fade in instead of pop up? Also, when making an image/paint run over a long period of time, does it take a bit for DaVinci to load the image across all frames? Cuz when I load an image to paint over 3 minutes, the image only pops up every now and then when I run the video preview immediately after.

I had the flicker issue, here it is how i fixed it: in the first frame, instead 0.001 select 0, 006. Dont know why but this fixed it for me.
