its amazing how so many people were confused about this movie, how this movie is pretty much about aliens and how aliens view us just like how we view fish
this is the only video I could find that actually gave the movie a good rating while others were just as confused smh

Thought I was watching a Lovecraftian film. Had most of the elements - insanity in family, a New England setting, strange things involving the ocean, and general wierdness. Had high hopes but they took the easy way out.

I just watched this movie and from my understanding the point they are trying to make is that .. just how we pull animals out of the water to study them and understand them more .. the ones above us pulls us up to study us and know more about the human race .. in another words kinda like aliens you can say .. or other species greater than us abducting us and then throwing us back in the water .. that’s just from my point of view :)

Dont see many movies based out of Rhode Island so kudos. For a Sci-fi horror thriller it has pretty good cinematography. The only problem is its slow lead up.

I hate hate hate hate hate movies specifically horror movies when ppl have crazy stuff going on with them they either keep it a secret or in denial....I literally pull my gd hair out yelling at the TV screaming OPEN YOUR F#$% mouth....it drives my crazy I can even hold it in any more. Then you have the sister to acting dumb as he'll as well not speaking on her observations and defending him.

I felt frustrated with the film. I could have sworn it was heavily implied in the first half that the monster was a krakken/lovecraftian/cthulu thing with the concept but then it takes a hard turn and BLAM, we got aliens and that “we’re just fish in a tank for them to observe” thing.

I don’t know whether the reviewer is on a wind up or reviewing a different movie entirely.
The movie had potential but in the end was dull, predictable and nonsensical.
Pretentiousness run rampant, there was nothing thought provoking or going to challenge how viewers perceive the world in this.
