This One Take is brought to you by Chassis! We love Chassis Powder - it keeps your balls and butt so much drier than regular "medical" powders. Check out Chassis Premium Powder, Chassis Shower Primer and Chassis Extreme Cream

This 2012 John Cooper Works Mini is unique in that, while there are many modifications available for the 'Cooper S' model, few upgrades are available beyond MINI's factory high-performance package. With some power upgrades, interior and cosmetic enhancements, and a set of Ohilins Road & Track coil overs, this MINI is a well rounded package and a joy to drive.

Check it out on Wheelwell!

I made coffee out of the nutpowder and smeared it over my sunglasses, now they have a matte finish and I found out the nutpowder works just like Dillan optics NIR technology, reflecting the UV beams from the sunlight. So thank you now I don't need new sunglasses.
But now I need some smokingtire tshirts because I ran out of toilet paper and they keep my ass dry.

Going to cut a lot of haters off at the pass about reliability. Yes, the R56 was unreliable for a few years. If you're looking for an R56 Mini you need to know what years to buy. For the Cooper S you want at least a 2011, but more a 2012 or a 2013. These have the "newer motor" mentioned in the video, the N18. The N18 had 2 versions. The 2011 and any 2012s up to a 03/2012 build date have the first version with a Continental High Pressure Fuel Pump that is unreliable. The second version after 03/2012 build dates have a Bosch HPFP that is much more reliable, however they don't move as much fuel and are harder to tune for power. The caveat to this is the JCW. The JCW did not get the N18 until 2013 model years. This is because they had difficulty moving enough fuel with the Bosch HPFP to support the bigger turbo. Before 2013 on the JCW and before 2010 on the S, the N14 motor (shown in the video and mentioned as the "older motor") has a lot of issues with thermostats, water pumps, HPFP, and timing chain tensioners. If you are looking to buy an R56, avoid the N14 like the plague.

Those seats are sick. I'm also sick after learning that you go through a lot of nut powder

Love the fast MINIs. One of the best handling FWD cars of all time. Loved my R53, went like stink and screamed like a demon. With a 17% reduction pulley it was perfect for DD and some trackuse. Was rock solid too, no issues.

These are a bargain these days for a track car project.

A drawer of forks... best description of the interior of a higher mileage Mini I've every heard. Bravo Matt!

A MINI! 🤘🤘🤘 The last Mini video was like 3 years old so as an owner myself I've been looking forward to this.

Watched this right after the N600 build, such a different style of build, so much respect for both owners, why I love cars, couldn't get a more different mindset for a build but are both lovely.

That's an awesome looking Mini! Had an '06 with an intake, pulley and exhaust similar to how Matt describes his R53. Happens to still be my photo, but just got a 2015 F56 Cooper S! Most fun in a car you can have! And hello to a fellow Ethan Mini owner!

147k on my 08 R55 N14. I am aware of the issues of these engines but mine has served me very sweet and well over these years. Had a prior 02 r53 as well and loved it to but the turbo is great. Just gotta keep up on maintenance and listen to that engine to be aware of the timing chain. If you use the updated tensioner with the new chain guides it will be nice to you. Also gotta watch that vacuum pump don't run dry from low engine oil cause it will snap a cam shaft.

Best episode ever. Matt, please add a nut care section before each video so we can stay current with nad-care trends. My balls truly thank you, from the bottom of my sack.

Woo finally! I seen a brief glimpse of this in the parking lot when he took that sketchy Camaro out, been waiting and waiting on this one as I have a R56 chassis as well. Might make my mirror caps a funky color now...

Small is fun. I think it gives you driving thrills at road speeds you can't get in super high end sports cars. Its the miata phenomena.
