MIP for life guy here. I came to this video to stay up to date on features. Happy to say that my Fenix 6Pro is still serving me very well - no need to replace this gen. I hope Garmin never phases out MIP, though now only pairing MIP with solar is starting to feel a bit like that.

My Fenix 7s still going strong lol
No more consumerism 😅

My opinion. I am a runner since 2018. Bought a forerunner 235. Kept it for four years. Bought a Fenix 6. Kept it one year. Forerunner 255. One year. Instinct 2. Six months. Now I own a one month old Fenix 7 pro. Garmin is talented at making you buy the new thing. I could still do the job with my Forerunner 235 or at least stick to the Fenix 6. Thankfully I sold them without problem and at good prices but God, you just need GPS, Interval training and good looks. Looking forward for my first Marathon in Athens. 🎉🎉

I bought a Fenix 8 51 Sapphire to replace my Apple Watch Ultra. I cannot imagine going back to charging a watch every day, this Fenix is awesome. It will go almost a month between charges and also has all the features of my Approach S70 golf watch. Worth every penny for me.

We love the multiple videos. The more information the better, these aren’t cheap watches and I want to make the absolute best choice.

Oled screens get praised for their brightness and vivid colors, but that is exactly why i prefer mip: it is just less distracting. I dont want another distracting screen wrapped on my wrist.

I'm running 3200 miles coast to coast across the USA in 100 days next year. I think it's Enduro 3 for me. Thanks for a really good insight into the options.

Still rocking my Fenix 3 since 2018 :)
Not sure when I will ever have the need to upgrade. Still amazing battery life etc

I did think about waiting for these watches. I am so glad that I brought a 965 on discount earlier in the year. For once I have chosen wisely.

Team MIP. Staying with my 7x Pro for quite some time, I guess.

Hey 👋 regular man here. I purchased the Fenix 8-47mm Sapphire Titanium. I upgraded from the Vivoactive 4. It just finally bit the dust after serval hard years. I’m an electrician by trade, sportsman/outdoorsman, DIYer, farmer, builder, etc…..My hands make a good living for my family. So I got the one I know will take a beating. I’ve had mine since launch day and haven’t charged it yet with 26% on the screen and estimated 4 days left of battery….. I’m impressed and extremely happy with my purchase.

0:39 is why I will be staying with MIP. As petty as it seems, I just hate looking at white numbers on a black background on a watch, especially when running in the daylight. Maybe if AMOLED ever lets me do black text on white I'll consider buying one, but I also dislike the raise to wake function and brightness in dark settings.

Makes more sense to compare enduro 3 to fenix 8 solar…. And this is much harder choice.

If someone is into amoled screen, there is no point even thinking about Enduro.

I've ordered the Fenix8 titanium beacause i love saphir screen and i do surf and windsurf so the waterproof resistance is apreciated. 😉

Owning a Fenix 7 Pro I am not going to be updating just yet but if I was I would very likely go fro the Enduro 3 as I feel it offers the natural progression of what Fenix used to be. My only gripe is that it doesn't come in 47mm, which I would prefer as I have roughly same size wrist as yours and feel that 51mm is just that tiny bit too big.

Great review. I have a Fenix 6 Pro 47mm. For an upgrade, running, b/c and resort ski, Enduro 3 is a no brainer. I agree with your assessment. The battery life and cost savings…amazing for really the same features as an 8. I actually prefer a watch to have less connectivity options…that’s why I have a phone

Thank you for consistently mentioning your wrist size! I thought the 51mm case would be too big coming from a 46mm Fenix 6X Pro Solar, but it really isn't seeing it on your wrist!

I’ve already got the FENIX8 but I just ordered the Enduro three today. I really like the look of the MIP display even though I have been using the EPIX and EPIX pro for the last few years.

Garmin is at the end point for the current processor. Great watches but maps and weather maps update slowly. Adding more gimmicks for more money but slow update speed is not ideal.
If the processor was just a tad quicker I’d grab the Fēnix 8 because of the buttons and diving features. The other major detractor to upgrade is AI with microphone and speaker. That will probably be a no go end point for currently serving military guys (Tactix).
Great watches but

I wouldnt be able to decide. On the one hand the OLED looks really nice but on the other hand, I like the long battery life and solar charging (it's just cool). Thankfully I don't need to decide since I'm still rocking my Gen 1 Apple Watch Ultra 😅
