The Biden and Trump campaigns are both looking to grab Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes. Like many states, Pennsylvania has a relatively new vote-by-mail law that is supposed to help voters but, a report from ProPublica and The Philadelphia Inquirer found the new law is hurting some low-income voters. Lana Zak spoke more about the issue with Jonathan Lai from The Philadelphia Inquirer, who is the co-author of the article.

Soooo it's racist and discriminating for everyone to have the exact same access to vote that every other citizen has?

If they had to go vote in person he would use the exact same excuse. This is total nonsense.

I actually just went straight to the comments .It's worth more entertaining than listening to the news.

If you dont have a computer, cant speak English, and dont have an address. Im sure you have more important things to worry about being in the United States and all.

I thought mail-in voting was the best thing since sliced bread.

Love how their explanation still doesnt explain anything on how this actively hurts turnout more than before

I’m a Biden supporter... but this news is flat out nonsense

Notice how much of “news” is “could” or “possibly” or some other non certain qualifier. Also there’s a lot of “here’s what to know” or “key takeaways”. Like we’ll do the thinking for you and you just listen to what we say.

With all the mail in voting and early voting going on, the lines on election day should be much shorter.

Huh? So poor people are more likely to go stand in line somewhere for hours than fill out a mail in ballot?

People who don't have a computer, cannot read English, don't have a stable address usually don't vote to begin with. They have other pressing issues like how to survive. Obviously people with money have more choices. They always do.

Oh, so the numbers are not in Biden's favor so this is the excuse. Got it!

I guess the Dems shouldn't have pushed so hard for mail-in voting.

"If you don't have a computer, can't read English, don't have a stable address...." Who the F are they talking about, squirrels?

You can still vote, just like every time you go grocery shopping!

If "you" don't read English, you shouldn't be allowed to vote. How would you know what's going on without researching the topic yourself?
Also, one doesn't need a computer to get a mail in ballot and return it by mail. You do need to know how to read to follow the instructions.
You people have a problem and not only for voting.
