The Sofabaton X1 is looking to be a replacement for the Harmony Hub ever since Logitech announced they were no longer developing their popular line of universal remotes. The X1 is a good candidate to take the place of the Harmony Hub, but it has a way’s to go until it can match the performance and look of Harmony Hub to control all of your home theatre components.

The Sofabaton X1 promises to be the ultimate universal remote control, capable of controlling all your home entertainment devices with just one device. It features a sleek and modern design, with a large LCD screen and easy-to-use buttons that are backlit for easy use in low light conditions.

In this video, I'll be unboxing the Sofabaton X1 and showing you what's included in the package. I'll also be demonstrating its set up and use, and sharing my first impressions on its performance.

Even Harmony recommends you connect via Bluetooth to Roku, Sheild, and Apple TV.

One thing these remotes are missing is a voice button. My kids love searching via voice, and it would be awesome if this remote could do that.

Aloha. After seeing this video I am wondering is this one of the Vine items you eventually kept and used or did you go back to your Harmony? They have a new model out now and i was wondering how well these remotes hold up (and did the software improve?). Most of the YouTube videos for this seem to be paid ads and yours seemed the most skeptical so your opinion probably would help a lot of people.

Interestingly the screen is a color screen, looks like they just have not utilized it. Hoping they do this in an upcoming update, if you plug in the remote you can see the battery icon is green.

Thanks for your video. Looking for a Logitech Harmony Ultimate replacement, which unfortunately is on its last legs, and thought this would be a good option. The main criteria for a new remote is ease of use. This seems to be missing a basic function for easily changing channels. What are your thoughts? How do you change channels?
