I walked in my local shop with over 3k to spend as I own alot of customs. Long story short sales guys hands me this exact LP STUDIO and color. Walked out with this haha

Curious to hear what people think about quality of the 2019 line of the Studio version compared with versions pre-dating the bankruptcy filing of Gibson. One would expect that bankruptcy does not particularly help quality improvement, but I have heard that Gibson purports to win back its reputation and get back to simplified (i.e. less high tech) guitars with improved sound quality. Grateful to hear about any experiences of others. I am also curious to read about views regarding the different humbuckers in the 2019 version compared to the Gibson 57 and 57 plus pickups.

I've got a lot of love for my black '93 Studio, even though some of the gold has worn a bit she's still great. Love the Ebony fingerboard. I prefer the PUP's to my Traditional, smoother sounding ;0)

Do these guitars have binding around the fretboard? Because on the website, there Isn’t any. But I’ve seen both with and without Binding on Youtube.

Great video! What year was this guitar made? I actually own one of these, but I am not very clear on is how to read the serial numbers in order to date the year it was released. Is it the very first two digits or the first and fifth? My first numbers are 20 and the 1st and 5th are 22. I’m confused.

Okay, so I'm looking at getting a used one of these. I've done research and its a legit les paul. No fake. The only think I can't figure out is what is with the white binding? Ones without seem to be a lot cheaper than this one. ($1400 without, $2500 with) Any reason why? I know its probably a stupid question and I'm just completely over looking something, but I want to make sure I know what I'm buying is legit.

What is the difference between the neck with white edge and no with white edge?
Why not surrounded by white edge will be more expensive? Thanks!

That neck binding should be discolored, not completely white.
