A simple call turned into an unexpected night of great food, great wine, and great company!
Thank you to our neighbors, Gerson and Chofy for your company and a great time!
For $850 pesos we enjoyed a fabulous 5-course meal with wine pairing that unfortunately some of the picture files got corrupted in the transfer from my iPhone to my laptop but don't take my word for it, go and try the Vena Cava wines for yourself at Wine O'clock! We were in for a treat when we discovered Phil Gregory, the winemaker of Vena Cava wines, was the guest of honor at this wine and food pairing. It was such a pleasure to hear his story of how Vena Cava Vinícola came to be what it is today.
Before the first dish was served, the first pour was the Rosada wine and I enjoyed all the wines and they were paired nicely with each dish.
The wines served were, Rosada, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Reserva.
1st Course
Ensenada Wild Mussels in Confit tomatoes and Saffron sauce with citrus mayonnaise croutons
2nd Course
Red Aguachile with 3 Chiles Sauce
3rd Course
Flat Iron Tagliata, arugula, Parmesan and cherry tomatoes
4th Course
Confit Pork belly in its own juice, citric cauliflower puré, and adobo glaseé
5th Course
Chocolate cake with aromas of Mexico ( With the shape of a Vineyard)

I highly recommend this restaurant and definitely don't miss out on the experience of the next food and wine pairing event!
