This bait has been for gotten. It's a bass catching machine and yet you never hear anyone talking about it. It was a swimbait before there was a swimbait. and fished like a Ned rig before anyone called it the Ned rig. A simple grub is a killer and versatile bait. Here's one of the ways I like to fish it.

Underrated tip. Nobody throws a grub anymore. (Incoming comments from every person who still throws a grub)

Grubs was my first artificial bait I ever use. Caught little bit everything. As always Hank you Rock

Caught my first ever smallie with a green pumpkin grub. Great bait on the Willamette River in Western Oregon.

I’m up here in Canada, and pretty much everyone I know almost only throws grubs. My tackle box is absolutely filled with almost every grub you can think of

i fly fish and when the bite is tough i will throw a weightless grub or small tube. the grub has saved the day plenty of times! good video dude!

I have never stopped with curly tailed grub . I still have a tackle boxes full of mister twister curly tails . I catch a lot off crappie bluegill and trout on the 1” lil bits . I use 2” and above for bass .
These are just like the senkos, they always help you when the bite is slow .

That’s exactly right, it’s the swimbait from before there were swimbaits, and so much more. Definitely.

I still use a jig/grub combo for many species in certain conditions, it’s a very very versatile lure. Just adjust the jig weight, grub size, and colors to suit the species and water conditions and you can catch anything that swims.

I’ve seen many different channels that have said a go to for anything is white curly tail grub so seems there is a general consensus about the bait and I found the tail up is the better action. Good video👍🏻

Here up north I don’t think grubs have been forgotten, i’d say most canadian anglers atleast have a couple grubs in there box. They work great for our other species too aswell like Walleye and pike, hell I’ve even caught salmon on em

Grubs were what I started on, theyre soooo versatile. I can throw one pretty much anywhere and catch something most of the time.

First time ever throwing a solid white grub, I casted it under some hanging trees in the shade. Popped my rod up and down about 2-3 times and almost got yanked into the water by a 9lb bass ( I was 11yr old at the time) Never underestimate the call of a jig.

Still have yet to catch a bass bigger then that 9lbr on any other lure. 😂
