I remember having my day ruined with anxiety cause my mom accused me of stealing from her account when I was sent to take cash out so I could go grocery shopping... I was so offended, cause I take pride in being righteous and helpful, that all I could say without disrespecting her was "then go to the bank and check their cameras". She later remembered she had to put gas but never apologized. It's been about 15 years since that occurred, I still remember and get a little worked up/ heartbroken when I think about it. An apology is too much for some parents but if you're wrong, at least acknowledge it doesn't matter if it's your/a kid.
