Fake BS1363 13A Plug Ramble.

This is a video talking about a fake bs1363 13a plugs. i found whilst doing some pat testing and electrical maintence work on a factory production line. i found a load of these plugs on some 10w led magnifying lamps on work benches. they also had 13a fuses in the plugs with 0.5mm2 cable which should have 3a fuse max.

This is perfectly fine for double insulated equipment that doesn’t need or require an earth connection, such as a TV . Show us the regulation in BS7671 that says that plug is non compliant. It is designed for class 2 double insulated equipment.
