He does a deep dive into FileMaker’s new JSON functions and demos several examples of how they are using JSON for passing parameters, populating form data, validation and rollback, managing session info such as value lists as global. The only thing with reverting the record (putting back the values from a saved memory variable) is that your actually 'modifying' the record rather than rolling back the changes which is an opportunity for data corruption and also may set the record as having been modified
I hope that Filemaker keeps on improving JSON
