My son started climbing out of the crib at one year old. Put him in a bed right away to prevent a bad fall. He walked out of his room into my bedroom every single night for about three months. I had to get up and take him to his room and lay next to him until he fell asleep. Thank God I did not work.

My Dad is 100 yrs old & just survived the Covid Virus. He has been a resident in a fantastic care nursing home in Connecticut. He is a miracle!!

We just transitioned our daughter's crib to a toddler bed last night lol! Here recently, she's attempted to climb out of her crib so we just went for it. This may be the unpopular way of doing things, but at the advice of some friends and other vloggers, we turned her existing doorknob around and lock her in her room until she falls asleep. Then when we go to bed, we go unlock her door but keep it closed. We also make sure her changing pad is below the opening since we have hard floors in her room. So far, so good! She didn't try to get out or fall out and she slept through the night. She turned 2 in February ☺️

I am English but have been living in Tenerife, Canary Islands for over 30 years, we went into 100% cuarentine on 14 th March. We are now in phase 2 that started on 25 th May, which means we can leave the house, go to the beach (some have timetables with previous appointments necessary), social distancing everywhere and everyone over 6 has to wear a mask. I wonder if we will ever get back to normality.🤔🤔🤔

I was a full time nanny for twins from 4 months until they were in kindergarten, we moved them to toddler beds around 3 years old and were climb in and out of each other's cribs which were set up end to end. I was the lucky one dealing with them for the first time in the toddler beds -- they were like Jack-in-the-boxes-- in and out of their beds. We finally resorted to taking favorite toys or books away unless they stayed in bed. There were 2 afternoons the only things in their room was kiddos, beds and lovies.movies. it took us about 10 day before they stayed in bed. Decide how you will handle Jack in the boxes and be consistent. Be safe. Be blessed.

I live in Australia, and the government have started to lift restrictions so we can leave for work, school has gone back after home-schooling for a term, you can go to shops for essentials, doctors, and you can visit friends and family. But people ignore these rules and just do what they want. The shopping centres are full everyday (i work in a deli) and no-one listens to social distancing rules anymore. It's very frustrating and I don't think it will be long until we have a second wave!!

I live in Ontario Canada. We have retail open as long as they have a street entrance (meaning no malls). No bars, no restaurants, no play grounds, no hair cuts or grooming services for people, no school, no day care, no socializing with people outside of your own household.

We didn't use a toddler bed, but we put a twin size mattress on the floor in one corner of her bedroom and used a childrail on the side. This left the foot of the bed open so she could safely crawl out. I kept the whole room furnished to a minimum (dresser and toy shelves in the closet so I could shut the sliding doors to hide them) so there was nothing for her to get into. She was an early climber so we moved her to her big bed when she was a little over a year old.

I'm over this its no longer about staying safe. Its about government controlling where we go what we do and how we do it! This should stop now!

Rio has been in so many of your camera shots lately. I think he’s feeling the loss of Rusty too. My two girls were two when I moved them to a toddler bed.

My son moved to a toddler bed when je was three. He never tried to climb out of his bed unless we were in the room watching him. He never got out of his toddler bed without asking us for permission until he was about 4 and a half and he's 5 and a half now. We never made him ask or inhibited him in any way from doing these things lol we got lucky and he just naturally didn't do it. Now he get a out of bed on his own, goes into the living room, grabs a breakfast bar(nature's bakery) and turns on the TV to watch his show.

In Scotland we just entered phase one yesterday, so can meet people outside, no hugging though, and social distancing remains in place, no clothes shops open yet, or dentists, or opticians 😔♥️♥️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

With my last 2 boys, the youngest of the 2 ( they are 19 months apart) was climbing out of his crib by 18 months! I started them with Toddler beds, but after the youngest decided to sail off of his bed and fill his baby tooth with blood, and them jumping on the beds and wresting on them, etc. I put a King size Mattress directly on the floor! No frame, no boxspring... just a good, thick, soft mattress. It worked beautifully.

My daughter was 31/2 when she transferred... we took the side off her crib lowered it as low as it would go with a pillow beside bed... and we built her big girl bed.. we gave her a choice every night until she started asking for big girl bed and we said goodbye to the crib and she never got out of bed unless she was sick

My girls were 3. They weren’t yet potty trained at night and they weren’t trying to climb out so we kept them in their cribs as long as we could! When we did finally put them in toddler beds, they did WAY better than I ever expected!

I live in a suburb of the Twin Cities. It's heartbreaking and scary what is going on here and people seem to have completely forgotten about the pandemic.
