Sorry, It Never Gets Easier

Nothing gets easier—dating doesn’t get easier, succeeding at work doesn’t get easier, skipping dessert and going to a 5am spin class doesn’t get easier. If life feels hard, that’s because it is. That’s because it’s meant to be.

The trick is to learn to enjoy what’s difficult. Shift your mindset, find the fun in the struggle, then sit back and watch how powerful you become.

I once heard something very wise, the work works on you more than you work on it

I have read hundreds of books and thousands of other forms of “wisdom” but this clip will radically change my life as well as anyone on this green earth who properly takes action from it. Thank you Mark!!!😮

Thank you. This helps combat the "grass is always greener" mentality

When you learn to enjoy the struggle, or at least not hate it, it does become easier. My life became easier & more enjoyable when I learned to create effective strategies and release negative thoughts around frustrating things..like taxes, a night routine, cleaning, work projects, etc.. It does get easier.

Brilliant. Now, just to train my brain to think this way.

I think Mark said the last lines first and then messed up the Rubix cube for the first half 😂

I usually seek a videogame, book, movie etc that matches my struggle, to some degree. Seeing other characters going through a similar thing (and/or helping them go through it) is fun and cathartic, in a way. Then I ask myself, "if I like doing/reading this in a game/book, why wouldn't I enjoy the real life struggle too?"

So I try to look at that difficulty as something to be explored, contemplated, solved, as opposed to an inconvenient adversity. The thought that it helps me grow and be better is also useful.

Another massively useful thing, is to try and find why am I going through that thing. Maybe I can learn from this struggle, how to become kinder, more patient, faithful, resilient, motivated. Perhaps my earlier ways weren't good, and I wouldn't have changed them willingly. And it's alright; good thing that I'm getting through this struggle so that I can learn from my mistakes and do better. God knows better why I do need to go through this or that thing. And though I fear and loathe some kinds of struggle and pain myself, I know I go through them, for my own good and development.
This thinking helps me a lot to deal with difficult times, even if I sometimes want to (and do) avoid the problem, or step back (to rethink things or to take a break).

Once again Mr. Mark with a short video, relating to most of the struggles the People are facing. And providing a good approach to get with it. 🤗

Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.

What they don’t tell you is that chopping wood and carrying water is every task on Earth.

Excellent advice though ref the Rubiks cube - I would give it a jolly good whack and tell it I had zero effs left to give it. This is because I have read The subtle art of not giving a pluck.😅😅😅🎉❤

Curiosity and a sense of wonder is important in life. Even in the most difficult circumstances, like dealing with death, loss and grief.
Dr. Edith Iger even said that mindset allowed her to survive the Holocaust. A curiosity of what will happen next and how there was always the potential for things to get better, despite all of the horrible things she experienced and witnessed.

But once you do that, it makes it easier! So, it does get easier.
