This is the story of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco, erstwhile known as the Versa. The Eeco succeeds the legendary Maruti Omni launched in India in 1984. The Omni was a Turing test for Maruti Suzuki about the potential of purpose-made MPVs or Multi-Purpose Vehicles in India. Despite a few setbacks with the launch of the Versa in 2002, this indomitable Van by Maruti has stood the test of time and has emerged victories claimed a 90% market share in India.

My Father bought one shortly after it was launched in 2010. Undoubtedly, still running strong hesitant to stop. Versa was a very desirable car and my childhood favorite as an MPV lover. I wish to inherit and keep the Eeco as long as I could. Our people have spoiled the image of Suzuki as a cheap brand. Here in Canada, Suzuki entered with SX4, Kizashi, Grand Vitara, XL7 etc. but left due to poor sales since Toyota and Honda already had a strong grip on the market. But those Suzuki cars are considered strongly reliable just like other Japanese brand. Some Canadians and American still wishes Suzuki to come back especially with the new Jimny as their cars are simple, reliable, easy to fix and long lasting - true value for money. In Japan, they had Suzuki Every Landy (since 1999)- a similar car to Versa but it had more features such as automatic gear box with all wheel drive, second raw captain seats, rear wiper, airbags, ABS. Suzuki still make and sell some world-class vehicles in other markets but Indian market is totally different so they act accordingly and some "classy" social media chhapris labeled it as cheap tin box brand without checking themselves in mirror.

90's movies are incomplete without:
1. Maruti Omni as Kidnapping vehicle
2. Maruti 1000/HM Contessa, gang leader's car
3. HM Ambassador as goons vehicle 😂

Best car as per budget range. It has a good ground clearance practically (160mm only @ differential point, the rest of the part is above 180mm) which is equivalent to 210mm SUV, since SUV ka ground clearance gir jaate h laden weight k sath. Eeco remain more or less the same with laden or unladen weight. + eeco k chhota wheel base, width aur hard suspension makes advantage over SUV in terms of ground clearance. Eeco is value for money car. 50% larger space than premium car, it has sufficient power 1.2 L /4cylinder engine G12b/k12n both are good. G12b is consider as old fashion engine, yes, but it has a low maintenance cost, durable and easy to rebuild. Eeco (with fully loaded) is also good for off road as compare to front wheel drive cars. Go for eeco instead of wasting money in premium car if you want to safe money for future.

What perfect timing for this video. I was just discussing this car with my friends two days ago and wondering if there is any competition for it.

Hamne 2023 october me eeco li thi, gaadi smooth chalti hai.
Starting me stearing hard lag raha tha fir kuch din bad ab light ho gya h.
cng me mileage exact 200 km diya tha aur 2 bar abhi bhi baki the means around 230-240 km in one go.
me car average 70-80 km/h speed chalata hu.
petrol me mileage 10-12 km/l hogi kabhi try nhi kiya.
petrol sirf gadi start karne k liye hi rakha h 😜.
safety thodi boht h to khud hi dekh k chalana padta h.
2-3 saal bad chalake ertiga nikalunga😎.

Actually, even the current ECCO is the very old generation of the Suzuki Every in global markets. The latest gen of it available in other countries is a van with decent safety features.
