Why The Eagles SHOULD Ask Don Felder Back In 2023

It’s time for Don Henley to put old feuds aside and bring Don Felder back into the band. The Eagles would be a better live band if he was in it playing along side Joe Walsh.

I'll basically parrot what I said before, but it bears repeating, Felder was the most talented musician in that band and his return would bring some much needed ballast to the group. I regret that I've never seen them live and they are coming here in the Spring, but I'm not paying big bucks to see the current lineup. If Felder was there, I'd bite the bullet and go. Sadly, it ain't likely to happen...

Completely agree with everything you say in this. I've never seen Eagles live and keep my fingers crossed it's still possible...for it to be either Felder would be quite something.

It just makes sense whichever way you look at it.

AGREE WITH YOU TO 100%. Ive been listening to them since 1974 and Don Felder together with Joe Walsh was pure magic and I know they liked to play together but i guess Don Henley dont want and thats bad !

I just saw the eagles for the first time last Saturday at the Baltimore Arena and they were awesome but would have loved to see Don Felder on the stage

As an oldie guitarist of over 64 years and a great Eagles and Felder fan I would love to see Felder back. I travelled fromNew Zealand to Brisbane Australia to see the Eagles live a few years ago….it was like watching a tribute band! They need the Felder/Walsh vibe back absolutely on stage. Felder is also incredibly underrated & unacknowledged as one of the great lead guitarists ever….. yet to us guitar purists he quite simply leaves Walsh for dead when it comes to real playing talent.
I would even go 1 better…… bring back both Felder & Leadon …. they’re great mates and get rid of Stuart Smith the tribute guitarist!

Don Henley should reach out and bring back both Don Felder and Bernie Leadon. Then they would be a band worth seeing again with 2 original band members and 3 that date back to the 70’s. Kick ego to the curb and be great again!

I love country rock and Poco but the Eagles were destined to end up like Poco. The band kicked butt when Felder joined the band and got even better with Walsh
only now are stale without the guitars of Felder and Walsh together. I think reuniting Felder into the band would be epic. I would pay dearly to see them together once more.

Don Felder is far superior as a musician to the other guys in the Eagles. Don Henley is a brilliant singer and songwriter. However, Don Felder brought the Eagles into arenas and had he never joined the Eagles they would have become another Poco by cranking out country rock hits and playing nostalgia packaged tours and cruises. Glen Frey and Don Henley saw massive sales when they heard Don Felder's guitar licks and it's time it all gets resolved and they join forces once more.

Yes, totally agreed your comment about bringing Don Felder back to Eagle. Don Felder is a very very good musician for all of their songs and music. The important highlight is the combination of them were unbelievable to this day and beyond. Everyone is ageing and what the hell in life we all came zero and we all will go zero one day - anyway !
