In full: Boris Johnson leads Downing Street press conference virtually from self-isolation

Boris Johnson has marked so-called Freedom Day by giving a press conference remotely after coming into contact with Sajid Javid who later announced that he had tested positive for Covid.

The Prime Minister made it clear that unless nightclubs and other large venues begin to use the Covid pass as a condition of entry, they will have it imposed on them.

He says he wants nightclubs to behave responsibly, but he reserves the right to "go to mandation" if required.
